IPS Summit in Brussels

We thank you for joining the IPS Summit in Brussels!

The Joint Initiative Council (JIC) is continuing its efforts to establish the IPS as a “global public good” under joint stewardship by the respective stakeholders. We launched our discussion paper in the summer of 2024. Over the past 18 months we have engaged in a number of listening and discussion sessions at various venues, culminating in an excellent joint session between the JIC and the GDHP in Quebec City in November 2026

On 27 March 2026 we brought this discussion to the wider stakeholder community, leading up to having an active IPS strategic stewardship in place by 2027. During the IHE Europe Connectathon Week in Brussels we invited participants from across the globe to join the discussion. On behalf of the Joint Initiative Council, we wish to thank each of you for participating in the 2nd IPS Summit

We were so fortunate to have so many outstanding speakers and panelists, and to have been able to collect inputs from so many of the attendees.  Co-hosts Michael Nusbaum and Robert Stegwee are beyond thrilled at the quality of the content, the thoughtfulness of the recommendations, and the support from such a broad stakeholder community towards our quest to establish IPS as a Global Public Good!  Thank you all so very much!

We are pleased to provide you with the IPS Summit Meeting Report Package , containing detailed notes and presentation materials from the Summit.  Feel free to share these with your colleagues around the globe.

If you have any feedback that you’d like to share with the JIC, feel free to email us at info@jointinitiativecouncil.org.

We look forward continuing our dialogue on global IPS governance in the weeks and months ahead.
